University of Calicut the premier University in South India has ever kept a tremendous track record and a rich heritage in the field of sports and allied activities. Realising the increasing importance of the physical education in the curricula of the school as well as higher education, University has designed various courses with the aim of promoting quality education in the field. Three courses namely BPE , BPEd, MPEd had been offered through Centre for Physical Education , University of Calicut. From the academic year 2011-2012 onwards only the BPEd course is being offered under Self Financed Stream.

Duration : 1 year (2 Semester)

Eligibility : Any degree or equivalent as recognized by Calicut University and should be below 25 years of age as on 1^st July of the Academic year in which admission is sought. Should be physically fit for daily heavy load of exercises. Relaxation upto 5 years for SC/ST candidates & sports stars in AIU approved Games/Sports (only 3 years performance be considered for relaxation (should be unmarried).

Mode of Selection : On the basis of Entrance Examination conducted by the University

Fee Structure        : Tuition fee – Rs.10,000/- per semester + uniform fee

                                   Admission Fee – Rs.3,000/-

                                   Caution Deposit – 250/-

Sanctioned strength : 40 seats.
