Features of Wimax device.

(Point to Multi Point Link)

1. System shall operate in unlicensed band frequency spectrum of ISM-III (5.8 GHz) band.

2. The Wireless system shall be for outdoor type supported Integrated antenna. The system shall be based on state of art QoS IEEE 802.16 or Equivalent PHY and MAC layer.

3. The system proposed shall not use active RF antenna and cables to avoid failures due to moisture/rain etc.

4. The EMS shall support IN-BAND management of the Network Elements using SNMPV2.

5. The System shall support centralized bandwidth management and authentication system for high security and QoS.

6. The system shall support remote maintenance of radio units.

7. The system shall have the capabilities of upgrading the Software without interrupting the normal system service.

8. The system shall allow enabling prioritization of VOIP and Video over data traffic.

9.The system shall be capable of applying different qualities like offering different services types, latency, jitter and bandwidth control for each direction (uplink

and downlink) independently.

10. The system shall be scalable in terms of deployment – a system deployment may be small as one sector and one subscriber or as large as thousands of subscribers in a

multi sector base station deployment.

11. Wireless systems shall be capable of easy and rapid deployment to avoid lengthy way-leave, access and legal agreements.

12. The system shall have self-Interference prevention with synchronization, between different base stations and between co-locating sectors within a base station using

GPS based synchronization system.

13. The system shall have built in targeted coverage capability (Ability to daisy chain the link) both in point to point and in Point to Multipoint system. The system shall have latest software for managing various clusters of cameras.

14. The system shall enable fully automatic configuration of CPEs including QoS, once they acquire an RF link to the base station.

15. The System signaling rate shall be equal or more than 20Mbps over 20MHz channel for Base Station and 10 Mbps for remote Location.

16. The system shall support extensive networking modes including switching, VLAN tagging and classifications etc.

17. The system shall pass through bridging mode SLA per CPE (CIR/MIR).

18. The system shall be equipped with surge suppressors to protect it from unavoidable lightning conditions.

19. The system shall support high level of security mechanisms such as DES, BRAID authentication etc for end-to-end connectivity to avoid any breaches due to Interference or hacking.

20. The system both in point to point and point to Multipoint mode shall support high level of Interference mitigation techniques at MAC layer structure, low C/I and efficient error correction techniques.

21. All necessary cables other than Power cables & cat6 cables (rate per meter basis) shall be included in the cost of wireless set.
