| The Academic Council resolved to recognise the three main pattern of Mangalore University and all other Universities in Karnataka, as three main patterns are followed in all Universities in Karnataka. | The Standing Committee on Academic Council at its meeting held on 14.08.2003, vide item No.24, considered the question of recognition of M.Phil & Ph.D degrees of other Universities and resolved that no separate recognition is needed in the case of M.Phil (Regular) and Ph.D degrees of other Universities "approved by the AIU". | The Academic Council held on 18.06.2005, as per item No. 24, has resolved to approve the recommendation of the Committee as follows. Automatic recognition shall be granted to all the regulare programmes from any University or educational Institutions recognized by the corresponding apex regulatory bodies such as UGC, AICTE, MCI, PCI, NCTE, BCI, DCI etc. for "Higher Studies only" , provided the minimum criteria for admission to such programmes are the same as listed by the UGC (DO.No.F1-52/97 (CPP-11) dated 09.08.2002).
